Alexa joined Highland Fusion in March of 2001 and like many members of Highland Fusion, has an extensive dance background. Alexa has been very involved in various types of dance since she was quite young. She began doing Highland dance in 1992 and has been an award-winning competitive dancer since 1996, competing throughout the USA, Scotland and Canada.

Like most of the other Highland Fusion members, Alexa has been a Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band dancer since 1998. Outside of Highland dance, her other main focus in the realm of dance is ballet. She has been involved in ballet since 1990 and performs annually in the Nutcracker and spring shows. Alexa's other activities include acting. She worked with the Young Actors Workshop in San Diego for several years and enjoys directing and acting in local plays.

Alexa is currently attending college in British Columbia, Canada. When not at dance lessons or competitions, she enjoys snowboarding, figure-skating, swimming, tennis and various other outdoor sports. She also likes spending her free time relaxing at home with her family, pets and friends.
