Leslie is one of the founding members of Highland Fusion. She has a diverse dance background which helps her contribute to the group's unique choreography. Leslie has been doing Scottish Highland dance since the age of three and has competed since the age of five. Twice, she was a representative of the Western Region at the National Highland Dance Championships, in 1993 and in 1995. After a long break from competing, Leslie competed for two more years after finishing college. However, now she focuses her creative energy solely on performing with Highland Fusion.

Leslie's other dance background includes jazz, ballet and tap. She was a member of her junior high and high schools' dance teams for five years and performed at many school functions. While in high school, she also ran varsity cross country and track and was a captain on each team. Like many of the other members, she was a member of the Cameron Highlanders Pipe Band as a dancer for six years. She enjoys the choreography she gets to do with Highland Fusion, as it allows her to fuse together her loves for various styles of dance.

Currently, Leslie is a graduate student in pursuit of a PhD. She coordinates performances, and handles scheduling, publicity and promotion for Highland Fusion.
